Wroclaw is a city on the Odra River, situated in the south-west of Poland, in the region of Lower Silesia. It has a population of 700 000 people and almost 150 000 students enrolled in 5 state higher education institutions, among which is Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences with the enrolment of over 11 000 students, including 1200 students of Veterinary Medicine, one of five faculties at this university.

In 2003 the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine was accredited by the EAEVE (European Association of Establishments for Veterinary Education) and in 2004 it was awarded a distinction by the State Committee of Accreditation in Poland. Since the year 2006 the Faculty has been in the A (highest) category of HEIs in Poland.

Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences (English Division) offers uniform 5,5 year (11 semesters) program in  Veterinary Medicine leading to a degree of veterinary surgeon. The study program with ECTC available on: www.up.wroc.pl

The University has didactic stations in Pawłowice, Radomierz and Swojec which make it possible to run practical and clinical classes with all species of farm animals.
